Welcome to Steps to Learning Preschool!
Steps to Learning Preschool (STLP) is designed to facilitate children, families, and staff in active learning and discovery. It was created to support our philosophy of nurturing and enhancing children’s natural, active inquiry of the world around them. We believe that learning occurs in everything a child does.
Our curriculum is based on learning through direct interaction with the classroom environment and planned activities. The classroom has different centers such as manipulative, dramatic play area, math, science, language and arts and crafts to enhance different development areas of the child. These choices are always available for emotional, social, physical, creative, and intellectual needs of your child.
The planned activities are presented during circle time or group settings to enhance math, language, science, and
creativity.
We use Montessori Material in addition to other material to achieve educational goals.
We have a highly-qualified staff trained in the careful observation of children. Through observation, the staff is able to enhance curriculum resources to meet the individual needs and interests of the child.
We partner with Stretch-n-Grow to promote healthy habits and fitness among children and families. Once a week children have fun learning about nutritious food and exercises while having fun at the same time.
Currently Steps to Learning Preschool is working towards becoming an accredited program.

To build a better foundation in a child’s first years by providing a well-balanced curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment to encourage individualism and self-esteem.
